Splendid art in places you already go to

FRAME_birmingham is an Arts Council funded, mac birmingham supported Elly Clarke / Clarke Gallery project that sees unique and very small edition artworks by local and international artists installed into a variety of businesses across the city as a means of bringing art to new audiences, new audiences to art and new contexts in which art can be shown. It is also about provoking and stimulating conversations about and around the artworks, by a variety of people in a variety of different places.

With a public launch on 16th November 2012, the show then runs until 17th February 2013. The frames will remain in place for three months, with work changing monthly or when sold. All work is for sale, up to a maximum price of £750. A printed FRAME_guide including a map of all venues and an essay by Anna Canby Monk is available free from most venues.

The price quoted is for works mounted but unframed; also available framed for an additional £50. All works are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. All works are also available to buy via Own Art.  Please note that prices published in the frame guide exclude a 6.5% transaction charge levied by our agent.  Prices on this website include this transaction fee.
